We sent 3 portions of food with him for what should have been at least 3 meals over 2 days. Secondly, we discovered our dog was not fed adequately or was fed the wrong food during his stay. Casual dishonesty like that was a little offputting but not as bad as what happened next. The staff said he was "playing in the water." No he was not. However, when I picked him up, I was playfully commenting on him being wet. This is totally fine with us, he's a puppy and still learning his boundaries for play. First, I WATCHED staff spray our puppy with the hose to break up some particularly rough play. However, carelessness and dishonesty made this a poor experience for our family. It looks very safe and our little guy always comes home tuckered out. I love the spaces and supervision they have for the dogs during the day. Staff is friendly during visits and the cams are great for human seperation anxiety. Very disappointed as we were very excited for this training. I emailed back to the manager asking to work with anyone else and never received a response (it’s been weeks at this point of waiting). Her solution was to have Kelly contact us and offer her level 2 class to us at a discount (the one that she previously wouldn’t let us in to). I said we would be willing to come back as long as we could work with someone other than Kelly.
She apologized for Kelly’s behavior and wanted to make it right. We finally were contacted by the manager who seemed great at first. The Assistant Manager corroborated everything that happened as she was witness to it all, and agreed that it was highly unprofessional and problematic, but that Kelly is basically her own boss and they can't control her, even though she is a representative of the organization. I was very embarrassed and felt like I had done something wrong, so we just left.Īfter we rechecked our emails, we called back and tried to talk to a manager. If level 1 is a requirement, that is fine, but we were not told at any point that it was. I told her that she said she would put us on the list but she told me she couldn't talk right now and walked away from us. When I tried to bring up our email chain, she dismissed me and said she didn't know what happened but that she didn't have time to talk to me because she was teaching a class. She said that she wouldn't let us join the class because we hadn't taken Level 1 with her. We said no because we have already done all of the basic command training at home. Kelly came out and immediately wanted to know if we had done the Level 1 training with her. The staff went to ask Kelly about the reservation. Upon arriving, no one could find us on the roster (no biggie, I thought, because I had the email chain with Kelly).
We had emailed with the trainer, Kelly, and made sure we were good to go and signed up. We made the trip to the Camp and showed up early for our level 2 class.
